The bridal look in saree is getting popular with the trend. Recently, we saw Alia Bhatt flaunting her wedding look. Weddings are the most important aspect of our Indian culture as it binds not just two different individuals but two different families as a whole.

So, to make this day the most special day of her life, the bride always wants the best of everything on this day, like the best outfit, the best jewelry, the best decorations, etc. But with time, things have changed. Individuals now prefer a simpler wedding as much as possible.

A wedding is considered to be one of the most auspicious and special days of a person’s life especially the bride to be as she has to start a completely different life than the life that she used to have earlier and move on from her parents and family to a completely new family.

This also applies to bridal wear. Brides nowadays prefer wearing a simple outfit that makes them feel comfortable. Now let us take a look at some of the simple bridal looks in saree.

Simple Bridal Look in Saree

1. The Alia Bhat look: Breaking the Stereotype

Bollywood actress Alia Bhat recently got married to her long-time beau actor Ranbir Kapoor in a very dreamy wedding in Mumbai, India. She was the most talked-about bride in the Bollywood industry so far as Alia did a very gutsy thing during her wedding; she broke the stereotype attached to the typical Indian bridal look.

For her bridal look in saree, she opted for an ivory bridal shade, designed by none other than Bollywood’s favorite designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The twenty-nine years old actress preferred her comfort and choice of color over the societal norms and made the perfect newlywed bride on her special day. She opted for a no-makeup makeup look, unlike most other Bollywood celebrity brides. With just a hint of blush on the cheeks and the slightest amount of contour on the cheekbones, she even preferred keeping her hairdo as simple as possible which is unconventional and this is what impressed her fans the most.

Alia donned a hand-dyed ivory organza saree with fine tilla work embroidery over it as she ditched the typical red-colored bridal look. She paired the saree with a matching blouse and handcrafted jewelry by Sabyasachi Mukherjee himself.

This look might not be the most preferred bridal look of many brides, but considering the climate change and even placing personal comfort over societal standards, this is one of the best-suited looks for a gen Z bride.

2. The Yami Gautam looks

Yamin Gautam is one of the Bollywood industry’s most aspiring, promising, and budding actresses who has always gained the love of her fans due to her simplicity and honesty. She tied the knot with husband and director Aditya Dhar in an intimate wedding ceremony in Himachal Pradesh, India. Her wedding came as a shock to many because unlike others, she did not publicize her wedding to be in the limelight.

To those who do not know, Yami wore her mother’s thirty years old wedding saree on her wedding day with self-done minimal makeup and hairdo and lovely jewelry. This was the best part of the wedding. Yami gained a lot of appreciation for this look of hers and also because she preferred her family saree over a designer saree.

Yami was seen wearing a traditional deep red colored silk saree with a similar blouse to match the saree. The saree had beautiful silver work over it and so does the blouse while Yami’s veil has a golden border and a few colorful beads over it.

Her typical and traditional jewelry with the red chuda will make people go in awe.. after seeing her. For those brides who want to go minimal with their wedding look but do not want to break the stereotype, this might be the best look for you all.
